Reverend Ralekholela celebrated 61 years of life, 40 years of love and 37 years of ministry work.
It was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate life not death, we are blessed (words from Pastor Motaung).
Challenges in ministry
When asked about the challenges and highlights; Prophet Ralekholela mentioned that he wanted to have the celebration to show and encourage the younger generation on the field of Christianity because when the enemy attacks, it attacks their families.
He has been in the ministry full time for 37 years, not counting the years he started part time. Within the time they have made many disciples internationally. He strongly stated that he wanted to influence people in three areas;
1. Area of ministry.
2. Consistency and
3. Content that it can last long without being maneuvered.
There’s a perception that Evangelists are not strong in their families.
They wanted to send a message to the world so that they change their minds when they look at the ministry, because many things have been twisted over time about Christianity especially its leadership.
They thank God that in the 37 years they have been doing one thing that they are known of. Consistency is what attracts followers.
Practice what you preach
One must preach what they live! People think men of God with their travelling are not strong in their families, they wanted strategically for people to give testimonies about the ministry.
Every step you take in ministry life has its own challenges; from a Bible point of view – Goliath being killed by David who had 5 stones, but only needed to use one. Other stones he was going to need for other brothers of Goliath (that is other challenges). Every time David was anointed, he faced a stronger challenge. Higher promotions goes with higher challenges. There’s been lots of challenges together with blessings.
Most times leaders fake problems and challenges, they don’t face them (humanistic teaching). Young pastors go out into the ministry and when reality comes they are not armed because they were not taught how to face their problems.
Writing a book
Prophet Ralekholela is working on a book “The Chronicles of Rev T A Ralekholela”. He said if we can write about everything that Jesus did, the world will not be able to contain. The Bible has just enough to know the plan of God about human salvation. The Bible was written in its own context, we have to understand it in our own context.
